Dr. Rashmi's Vision
An enthralling experience of more than 25 years in the field of music has made Dr. Rashmi Joshi brood over the need to revive interest of the younger generation in the field on classical music. Dr Joshi says, “today, when everyone is spending whopping amount of money on vocational classes in hopes to leave no stone unturned in developing the personality of their child, little do they know about the benefits when it comes to introducing them to the world of classical music.” Music continues to bridge the great divide between cultures and countries. It can bring hope for peace in the darkest of times. Music helps to develop one’s focus, mental acumen and creativity, makes it easier to articulate yourself beautifully with self-esteem, helps develop language skills, reasoning, spatial intelligence, gives you peace of mind and emotional stability. The list is not only limited to this but it also helps to improve breathing, clear throat and strengthen your lungs. To sum up, music has immense power to heal a person spiritually, mentally and physically. The musical largesse also encapsulates its listeners as from pain management to improved sleep quality, even listening to classical music has both mental and physical benefits. Who among us would not want to see these skills instilled in our future generations? With this in mind, Dr. Joshi is all set to generate awareness among people to reflect on the goodness of our own classical music in our lives and encourage their children to learn this enticing art form. She aims to connect to more and more people through her singing classes, performances, articles, website and YouTube channel and do her bit of service in the field of music so that the rising generation can renegotiate the boundaries of form and performance on their own terms and admire classical music in a way that allows performers to maintain tradition, pursue long careers, and become stars in their own right. Her goal is just not to ensure that classical music survives, but that it thrives well into the future!
